Sodapoppin asked OnlyFangs guild member GingiTV to restart his progress or risk being kicked out by members.
Streamer-only clan OnlyFangs caught multiple-time world first World of Warcraft (WoW) raider GingiTV cheating. The guild’s owner, Thomas Chance “Sodapoppin” Morris, told Gingi that he needed to delete his Mage and Warrior toons (characters) and restart his progress. Gingi was caught disabling the OnlyFangs add-on to buy items from the in-game auction house for one of his characters.
Sodapoppin owns the OnlyFangs guild that focuses on hardcore and Classic WoW challenges. The players compete against each other, raid, and participate in events hosted by the guild. The guild enforces various rules with the help of an add-on.
Even if players disable the OnlyFangs add-on, it reports all activity. Sodapoppin discovered the breach and promptly issued the punishment during a recent Twitch livestream. However, Gingi has yet to address the issue on his channel.
Gingi Has To Delete His Progress on OnlyFangs
Sodapoppin told Gingi to delete his characters, or a “gkick” will be issued. A gkick refers to a guild action in World of Warcraft where players can vote and remove a member. Soda said on stream:
“It has to be a really hard punishment. So, I think I am being lenient in terms of how Twitch is being right now.”
Gingi cannot carry over any progress or mail items to any new character. He has to go through a fresh start and abide by the OnlyFangs guild’s rules moving forward.
Who is GingiTV?
Gingi is a veteran WoW raider with six Mythic Dungeon Invitational (MDI) victories. MDI is a Blizzard-sponsored tournament where teams compete for the fastest time in Mythic dungeons. Throughout his career, Gingi has competed in several world’s first raid races.
In September 2024, players discovered a reputation level-up bug in World of Warcraft’s expansion The War Within. Multiple world-first raiders, including Gingi, abused the bug and received bans from Blizzard Entertainment.
In 2017, Gingi received a six-month suspension for allegedly boosting players for real money. Any form of trading or service exchange for real money goes against Blizzard Entertainment’s terms of service, and it led to the ban.
