Jack Doherty is a controversial internet personality who got permanently banned from Kick after crashing his sports car.
Jack Doherty is a well-known YouTuber, streamer, vlogger, and content creator from Long Island, New York. He began his online career at the age of 13 when he uploaded his first video to his official YouTube channel.
Since then, Jack Doherty has amassed over 14.9 million subscribers on YouTube, having uploaded 1,966 videos as of this writing.
Many consider Doherty controversial, as he has made headlines several times for contentious reasons. These incidents range from the streamer’s bodyguard assaulting an individual at a party to Jack Doherty being slapped by Kick streamers like Yousef “Fousey” and the Island Boys.
Most recently, the 21-year-old found himself in hot water after crashing his McLaren sports car while driving recklessly in the rain. This resulted in his official Kick channel being banned. According to reports, the action was taken because Jack Doherty endangered someone’s life during his broadcast.
Jack Doherty’s Controversy With Ninja
One of Jack Doherty’s first controversies occurred in 2018 when he decided to “expose” Twitch and Fortnite star Tyler “Ninja.” It all began on March 8, 2018, when Doherty “trolled” Ninja by sending prank donations.
23 days later, on March 31, 2018, the former Kick streamer posted a video titled EXPOSING NINJA! in which he claimed that the Twitch veteran told him to remove the aforementioned video in which he sent him prank donations.
Furthermore, Doherty revealed private messages on X, in which Ninja wrote:
“Hey man, I refunded all your donations when you did that video, and also never gave you permission to use my content or any of my VODs (video on demand). Please remove the video in the next couple of days or I will report it <3 :D. Listen, I refunded all your donations. Your video is literally fake. Remove it. Stop using me.:
Jack Doherty referred to Ninja as a “little baby” after he threatened to strike his YouTube channel:
“He made me take down that video and I had to delete the video, otherwise he’s going to strike my channel because it was his content. I don’t know. Like, he was going to strike my channel because he’s a little baby. Yeah, Ninja, I’d like to see you respond to this video. If not, you’re a little b**ch! That’s just basically my thoughts about you. You’re the most annoying person ever!”
Jack Doherty Reportedly Involved In Lawsuit After His Bodyguard Punched A Person On Livestream
Another major controversy involving the streamer erupted when his bodyguard punched an individual during a party. This happened last year, on October 28, 2023, when Doherty attended a Halloween party.
YouTuber Internet Anarchist reported that a “personal injury lawsuit” was filed against the content creator and his bodyguard in February 2024.
Providing details on the matter, the Internet Anarchist said:
“On October 28, 2023, Plaintiff was attending a Halloween Party. At approximately 12:30 AM in on the morning of October 29, 2023, Plaintiff was on the street outside the subject premises and was talking to Doherty and Goslee. At one point in the conversation, Goslee asked Doherty, ‘What are we doing?’ and Doherty said, ‘We’re gonna fight. Us two versus you two. All right? Go.’ and gestured that he and Goslee were going to fight Plaintiff and Plaintiff’s friend. Moments later, Goslee violently punched Plaintiff in the face, sending him falling to the ground and causing serious physical injuries to his head, face, and neck.”
Furthermore, the person who filed the lawsuit against Jack Doherty claimed that the controversy cost “greater than $75,000.”
