Jasontheween deleted his official X community after the group supposedly accused him of stalking the K-Pop group NewJeans.
On January 2, 2025, FaZe Clan member, Jason “Jasontheween” Nguyen decided to shut down his X community NMS Hub, after accusing its members of being ‘the root of every problem’. The streamer was allegedly accused of stalking the K-pop group NewJeans after he uploaded a now-deleted video on YouTube titled ‘How I met NewJeans’.
For context, Jason visited Japan where NewJeans held their concert and was seen near the K-pop group’s changing room. After the video went live, his community accused him of being a stalker in various posts. This enraged the streamer, prompting him to delete the X community. He stated in his livestream later:
“Bro, I am done. You all are pissing me off. Twitter is toxic, it is toxic, Kai Cenat was right. This sh*t is the root of every problem. I don’t have to worry about any of that sh*t anymore. I would be excited to look at my com after a stream, and then I see some bullsh*t, some bullsh*t! Ruins my whole f**king mood!”
Jason is not the first streamer to delete his X community. In December 2024, Lacy deleted the “Lacy’s Thugs” community, following Adin Ross’s decision to remove his “Adin Loyals” community. Adin had mentioned change and maturity as the reasons for the deletion of his community. Lacy deleted his community for reasons similar to Jason’s. Both FaZe Clan members, Jasontheween and Lacy cited toxicity for deleting their X groups.
In his stream, Jasontheween mentioned his frustration towards the community and proceeded to delete the group live on stream. He also called his community members ‘devils’ as he called out the troubling behavior.
“I am about to delete my com. ‘Cus you all don’t want that if you are starting all of these threads. Do it? F**k you all bro, f**k you all, f**k you all. You are the ones that start the most f**king problems. I don’t understand you all, you all are the starters of the problems. I am realizing this sh*t!”
Why Was Jasontheween Called a Stalker
On January 2, 2025, Jason uploaded a vlog on his YouTube channel. In the vlog, he shares his experience in Japan and the NewJeans concert. However, during a segment in the vlog, he briefly shows a glimpse of the K-pop group’s changing room.
Although he mentioned that he was supposed to meet up with the group, Jason was criticized for the segment. Several fans of the group also called him out for allegedly stalking the group. Jason met NewJeans in November 2024 and was recognized by the group’s members including Hanni.
During the situation, his community started picking on the streamer for allegedly stalking the K-pop band. Some members started “cancelling” Jasontheween as a result. Jason explained during his stream that he had planned to meet NewJeans, but the group’s busy schedule had made it difficult. He also mentioned that it was already planned, and it wasn’t supposed to be a stalker-like situation.
“We just wanted to say bye real quick, you know, maybe get a picture and then dip, bro. That was the vibe, bro. It wasn’t like, it wasn’t on no stalker sh*t. Just wanted to say hi real quick, maybe get a picture, a flick, and then say bye. But obviously, they’re in a whole different country. They’re super busy, their schedules are packed.”
