Many video games pack in easter eggs that reference all kinds of things. Here are our picks for the best Easter Eggs you can find.

Easter eggs in video games can range from small references hidden in levels to straight-up bonus game content that gets found years after release. Sometimes the developers even tease sequels through easter eggs. Other times, these same easter eggs can leave the player feeling weirded out.
Here, we have a list of some of the best easter eggs that we have seen in different video games.
1) Arkham City Plans in Batman: Arkham Asylum

This easter egg straight up confirms a sequel for Batman: Arkham Asylum. But it was so well hidden that the developers themselves had to reveal its location six months after the release of the game.
You can find it inside the Warden’s office if you manage to destroy the cleverly hidden wall with explosive gel. The plans all but confirm the location of the next Batman game years before its launch.
2) P.T. Reference in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

P.T. was such an amazing project that would have revolutionized the Silent Hill franchise. To everyone’s dismay, the studio shut down the project and delisted the demo. However, Kojima cleverly put a radio recording from Silent Hill P.T. inside Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
This recording was used in the demo, and it can be heard again in The Phantom Pain. The easter egg leaves us with nothing but regrets of a creative project getting disbanded.
3) Laser Hell in Split Fiction

Hazelight Studios recently released Split Fiction, a multiplayer epic adventure following two friends. This game showcases how far the developers have come since It Takes Two. If you thought that Split Fiction wasn’t challenging enough, then you’re not ready for its secret level.
That’s right, Josef Fares hid an entire additional level out of plain sight. It is accessible in the Isolation chapter and really puts yours and your teammate’s platforming skills to the test.
4) Merchant’s Reference in Resident Evil Village

The Merchant in Resident Evil 4 is one of the most iconic NPCs in video games. Resident Evil Village, the eighth entry in the franchise, actually features a character who gives a nice little reference to the Merchant in RE4. Our guy is actually the shopkeeper in this game, and you’ll need to interact with him a lot.
Talk to him enough times and he’ll say, “What’re ya buying?” which is a really iconic line that resonates with all the series’ fans.
5) Quelana’s Body in Dark Souls 3

Dark Souls 3 packs in references to its predecessors, but one that stands out most is Quelana. You’ll remember fighting her after clearing Blight Town in Dark Souls 1. Well, you can actually visit her body in Dark Souls, and it is located in the Demon Ruins.
However, her body is solidified due to lava, and it is just a visual reference to the once great boss from the first game in the franchise.
6) Dog and UFO Endings in Silent Hill 2 Remake

The Dog and UFO endings in Silent Hill 2 are hidden easter eggs that thankfully make a return in the Remake as well. Some people might find these endings weird, but that’s part of the charm. They are supposed to be easter eggs with unorthodox representation. Take the Dog ending, for example; it just shows us that the cause of James’ misery was a simple dog all along who was controlling everything behind the shadows.
Seems confusing and uncanny, right? The UFO ending is even more eerie than the original. In the Remake, the game ends with James from the original Silent Hill 2 kidnapping our James from the remake and taking him away in an alien spaceship.
