Baldur’s Gate 3 features tons of content, and anyone looking to explore everything in a single playthrough will not be successful. Completing quests, interacting with NPCs, and striving to see all the endings can easily take you over hundreds of hours, a playtime that is further boosted if you’re aiming for the achievements, too.

The achievements in Baldur’s Gate 3 are fairly normal for the most part, but some of them are quite challenging and peculiar, to say the least. “No Free Lunches” is one of the hardest achievements in the game. This achievement requires you to beat the Apostle of Myrkul before it consumes any Necromites. This achievement is fairly difficult, as the Apostle of Myrkul is likely to be the hardest boss you’ve faced up to that point in the story.

What makes this achievement worse is that it is a secret achievement, meaning you’re given no incentive to rush this boss fight if you didn’t know about the achievement beforehand. As a result, many players end up missing out on unlocking this achievement.

If you’re someone looking to 100 percent the game, No Free Lunches is something you cannot skip. If you don’t know how to get this achievement, we’re here to help. In this guide, we shall go over how to unlock the No Free Lunches achievement in Baldur’s Gate 3.

The No Free Lunches achievement in Baldur’s Gate 3 has only one condition: Defeat the Apostle of Myrkul before it consumes any Necromites. The Apostle of Myrkul is the final boss of Act 2 of Baldur’s Gate 3.

The Necromites spawn midway through the battle and make their way to the Apostle of Myrkul. The boss then performs the Call of the Dead and consumes these Necromites. Therefore, if you wish to unlock this achievement, you need to kill the Necromites before they reach the boss. This is fairly doable, too, as these Necromites have a small HP pool and can be killed easily. Use AOE spells to take them out in one go and unlock the achievement.
