The Smooth Stone, as its name suggests, is a smooth version of Stone and is used to craft a variety of items such as the Blast Furnace, Smooth Stone Slabs, and more. How To Make Smooth Stone
While you can find Smooth Stone spawning in villages in the Plains Biome in Minecraft, the spawn rate remains very low, and you’re better off crafting this item. You can make Smooth Stone by following the steps detailed below:
- The first thing you need will be the Crafting Table,which you will then use to make a Furnace. You make a Furnace by using 8x Cobblestones.
- Put the Furnace at a designated spot, and then add some Coal and Cobblestone to it. The Coal and Cobblestone will heat up in the Furnace to produce a Stone.
- Next, add the Stone with the Coal into the Furnace. The Coal and heat of the Furnace will smelt the Stone and produce the Smooth Stone you’re looking for.
Speed Up the Process
The whole process of producing the Smooth Stones is painstaking and slow, producing only small chunks of Smooth Stones over a given time period. Hence, we recommend building multiple Furnaces in a small area and using them all at once to increase the production of your Smooth Stones.
Alternatively, you can rely on Blast Furnaces which speed up the process of generating the Smooth Stones. You can build a Blast Furnace by using the Smooth Stones you produced earlier. You can make the Blast Furnace by following the steps below:
- Head to the Crafting Table and place 3x Smooth Stones at the bottom of the grid.
- Next, put Iron Ingots around the center of the grid in the spaces remaining.
- Put one of your crafted Furnaces at the very center, and you will get a Blast Furnace, which will help you make Smooth Stones faster.
