It is also important to note that the Shinju takes on the appearance of the shinobi they sealed. Furthermore, they also receive a portion of the abilities of the person they sealed. For example, Hidari looks like Sasuke and has access to techniques like Chidori since he sealed the shinobi. Additionally, the Shinju’s instincts dictate them to devour the person closest to the one they sealed. Sarada Uchiha is Hidari’s target since she is one of the important people in Sasuke’s life.

Boruto is Jura’s target, which is why he sent Matsuri and Ryu to find his location. That’s when Team 7, Yodo, and Araya converged. Shikamaru devised a plan to retrieve the Thorn Soul Bulbs, and in order to do so, they had to separate Ryu from Matsuri.

It’s quite clear that Matsuri is infatuated with Konohamaru. Furthermore, Konohamaru’s experience as the leader of Team 7 will come in handy. As exciting as the character is, Matsuri will not be crucial to the plot’s progression. Based on how things are going, Matsuri might not be the biggest threat at the moment. There is no doubt that we will get to see her combat abilities. However, Sarada and her comrades are well-equipped to take her and Ryu on. Her infatuation with Konohamaru might lead to her downfall. If this were to happen, Team 7, Yodo, and Araya will succeed in undoing Shinki and Moegi’s seals. Therefore, it’s safe to say that Matsuri will take on the role of a minor antagonist in the manga series.

Matsuri isn’t one of the strongest Shinju entities. However, it will be interesting to see her abilities.
