Civilization 7’s premium Deluxe and Founders Editions offer a plethora of content, but which one should you get?
Sid Meier’s Civilization series is one of the most popular series of all time, one known even by those who stray clear of the turn-based strategy genre. The brand has unprecedented appeal that just draws people to it. Gamers have sunk thousands of hours into the franchise, and after years of playing Civilization 6, they were long overdue for a new entry. After almost nine years of waiting, Civilization 7 is right around the corner, and we cannot contain our hype.
The latest entry is set for release on February 11, 2025, and has multiple editions available for purchase. The game has a standard edition, as expected, but the real meat of the content seems to be in the two premium editions of the game: the Deluxe Edition and the Founders Edition. If you’re a hardcore fan of the series, you may be confused about which one you should get. In this article, we’ll help you make that decision.
Which Edition Should You Get

- Civilization 7 Standard Edition: $69.99
- Civilization 7 Deluxe Edition: $99.99
- Civilization 7Founders Edition: $129.99
Civilization 7 Deluxe Edition Features
The Deluxe Edition comes priced at $99.99 and includes the base game. One of the biggest selling points for this edition is the Advanced Access. With the Deluxe Edition, you can play the game five days early on February 6, 2025. You also get the following features:

- Deluxe Content Pack (two leader personas, four profile customizations, and one alternate scout skin).
Civilization 7 Founders Edition Features
The Founders Edition is the priciest edition, sitting at $129.99. This edition includes the base game, as well as Advanced Access, which lets you play the game early. Furthermore, this edition is only available till February 28, 2025. So, if you miss out on it now, you will not get a chance again. The edition’s features include:
- Tecumseh and Shawnee Pack
- The Crossroads of the World Collection, with post-launch content featuring two new leaders, four new civilizations, four new Natural Wonders, a special cosmetic, and much more that is yet to be announced.
- The Right to Rule Collection, with post-launch content featuring two new leaders, four new civilizations, four new wonders, a special cosmetic, and much more that is yet to be announced.

Which One Should You Get
If you’re already planning to spend on one of the premium editions of the game, we recommend picking the Founders Edition. Compared to the Deluxe, this edition features an extra Collection and Content Pack, giving you more bang for your buck. Furthermore, its limited nature makes it a more attractive option for any diehard fan of the series.
