Popular Twitch streamer Eric “Erobb221” was banned on the platform for a DMCA violation. Eric was live streaming his Black Puzzle challenge, where the stream would only end once the puzzle was completely finished. Only a few days before his ban, he was accused of cheating during the challenge. After resetting the puzzle, he was on track to finish the puzzle this time. However, the streamer got banned on Twitch after he reportedly streamed the animated series South Park and WWE, which likely led to the copyright issues.

Despite speculations about the copyright being from WWE or South Park, several viewers also noted that he streamed videos from the Outdoor Boys. The Outdoor Boys have previously filed DMCA claims to take down certain reaction videos that feature them. Erobb221 was streaming videos from the Outdoor Boys for hours, according to some viewers.
This is the streamer’s second ban on the platform; he received his first ban in September 2022. His first ban lasted over a month, where he was banned after threatening to beat up a viewer at TwitchCon. Although the ban duration has not been confirmed by the platform or the streamer, copyright strike bans usually last up to a week. Fans can expect to watch their favorite streamer soon.

Fans Speculate Erobb221 Intentionally Got Himself Banned
Many viewers speculate that Erobb221 intentionally got banned on the platform. Popular streamer Tyler1 also reacted to his brother’s ban and suggested the same. Netizens speculate that he filed a DMCA claim himself to get banned off the platform so he could end his challenge. Several suggested that his puzzle challenge run is now void, as he had promised to finish the puzzle in one stream. Users have also asked Erobb to restart the puzzle after he is unbanned on the platform. Reacting to his brother’s ban, Tyler1 stated:
“Erobb got banned? Wait, why is Erobb banned? GGs hope it’s permanent. He was watching South Park on stream? What if he got banned on purpose to not finish the puzzle?”
