There are numerous types of weapons you can use against your foes in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Here are all the weapon types explained.

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, there will inevitably come times when you are forced to engage in combat. Therefore, to defend yourself and achieve victory in such conflicts, proper knowledge of weapons is a must.
Fortunately, there is no shortage of weapons in the game, and they are adept at sending people to the afterlife. However, all the weapons are not the same—different weapons are suited to different situations. If you want to know about the weapons and their uses, then look no further. Here are all the weapon types in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
Swords

These are the most common weapon type, and have the greatest number of weapons available. There are four types of swords:
Hunting Swords: These are commonly used for hunting. They are effective against unarmored enemies.
Longswords: These have long reach and high damage, but are slower as a result. Additionally, they can be used with either both hands, or with one hand and paired with a shield.
Short swords: These are weaker and shorter than longswords but have faster strikes.
Sabres: These are even faster than short swords and primarily deal Slash damage.
Heavy Weapons

These weapons are used to break through enemy defenses with brute force. There are three types of heavy weapons:
Axes: Axes are heavy weapons that deal Slash and Blunt damage. They are useful against medium armor and shields.
Clubs and Maces: These deal only Blunt damage, which is useful against heavy armor.
War Hammers: They come equipped with spiked ends, enabling Stab damage.
Polearms

Polearms have the longest reach of all the weapons, and are also the most versatile—dealing all three types of damage. Although the polearms have different variations, they are largely the same and serve the same functions with few exceptions.
Ranged Weapons

Ranged weapons are the alternative to the three classes of melee weapons, allowing you to mete out punishment from a distance. There are three types of ranged weapons:
Bows: Bows require arrows in order to be used. They are traditional ranged weapons, have a moderate reload time, and deal decent damage. They are effective for hunting and stealth attacks.
Crossbows: Crossbows take more time to reload than bows but deal more damage. They require bolts to use.
Handgonnes: These require bullets to use and deal incredible damage. As an exchange however, they are very slow to reload.
