After completing the Laboratores quest, head to Tachov during the Wedding Crashers main quest to find Radovan. You will find his forging workshop in the south of the town. Interact with him and ask about a job— this will commence the The Blacksmith’s Son side quest. You need to prove yourself to Radovan by forging a weapon successfully through a series of processes. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 The Blacksmith’s Son Side Quest Walkthrough
You need items like Fastening material, Scrap metal, and Steel to forge a sword. If you don’t have them, Radovan allows you to take them from his chest. Once you have the required materials, interact with the Anvil to start forging the Hunting Sword.
You will start by heating the sword in the furnace. Move the sword back and forth to ensure every part heats evenly. The workpiece will turn into a straw-yellow color when it reaches the proper temperature. You can also take the piece and inspect it to check its state.
Then, take the piece to the anvil to hammer it into shape. Strike every part of the sword evenly to forge it into proper shape. The amount of spark that comes from the striking indicates that you are doing well. Then flip the sword and repeat the process on the other side.
Once the sword cools down, reheat it again in the furnace and repeat the hammering. After the sword cools a second time, heat it one last time in the furnace. Then, finally, hit the appropriate button to temper the blade by dipping it into a bucket of water. That’s it; you have now successfully forged the Hunter Sword and completed The Blacksmith’s Son side quest.
