Constellations can make a character’s power increase by many times. Here is how you can unlock Constellations in Genshin Impact.
Each character in Genshin Impact has locked potential until you choose to unlock it. This is the Constellation system. Each character features a total of 6 constellation levels. Additionally, any character you obtain starts with zero constellations, and you can upgrade these characters to their maximum potential by unlocking their constellations.
Here is how you can unlock constellations for your characters in Genshin Impact.
Why Should You Unlock Constellations in Genshin Impact?
Constellations give units a significant boost to their strength or utility. Some constellations are more game-breaking than others, of course. For the majority of the Archons, C2 (the 2nd Constellation level) is said to be the best constellation to unlock. For instance. C2 for Raiden Shogun lets her Elemental Burst ignore 60% of the enemies’ defense. This shoots up her damage output considerably.
However, constellations don’t just make a character deal more damage. Sometimes, they make them usable in more team compositions or in various situations. A good example of this would be Zhongli’s C2. Zhongli’s C2 creates a shield for nearby characters when Zhongli uses his Elemental Burst. This lets him become extremely useful in co-op, since you can now grant a shield to your teammates as well.
Another good example of this would be Yanfei. Yanfei’s C4 lets her create a shield when she uses her Elemental Burst. This adds a shield mechanic to Yanfei, which didn’t exist in her kit till now. Therefore, unlocking these constellations opens up more team compositions and options for your account.
How To Unlock Constellations in Genshin Impact?
Constellations are simple to acquire and unlock. First, you must acquire the same character multiple times. This can be through wishes, events, or buying them through the shop. Once you obtain the same character a second time, you will be able to unlock one constellation for that unit.
Secondly, simply click on the character screen on the top right corner of your screen. Here, go to the character who you have acquired multiple times. Lastly, navigate to the Constellations tab on said character. Here you can unlock the constellations of your characters, depending on how many times you have acquired them.
