Wriothesley is the first 5-star in Genshin Impact to have a Cryo vision and be a Catalyst user. Catalyst characters tend to inflict elemental damage with their basic and charged attacks. This results in most of their damage coming from elemental reactions. Wriothesley is no different; he has a fun playstyle comprising of him punching his opponents and inflicting Cryo on them.
Wriothesley was first added to the game during patch 4.1. He is the administrator of the Fortress of Meropide, which is Fontaine’s de facto prison. Wriothesley’s special HP-draining mechanic allows him to self-buff and deal considerable damage to targets. However, you first need to level him up quite a bit to be able to unlock his full potential.

Wriothesley Talent Materials
Just upgrading the Ascension levels won’t help when it comes to damage numbers. You need to level up Wriothesley’s combat talents to increase his overall damage output. As you level up talents, you boost his damage and effect percentage. Every combat talent can be leveled up to a maximum of 10.

Recommended Talent Upgrade
If you are familiar with Wriothesley’s skill set, it is evident that most of his damage comes from his basic attacks.
