Cobblestones can only be mined with the help of pickaxes—wooden or any of the other types. If you try mining the cobblestone with your hands, it will drop not drop anything.
How To make stone bricks in Minecraft
First, you will need cobblestone to make a stone block. Cobblestones are one of the easier blocks to find and spawn in almost all the biomes. The best way to source them is to start digging downwards wherever you are or through hills. Once you get your cobblestone, you can use the same to craft a furnace.
Now, place at least four cobblestones inside the furnace on the top item slot and a piece of burnable block on the lower burning slot. Wait for a few seconds, and it will smelt your cobblestone into a stone block. Now, open your crafting table and interact with it. From here, you can access the 2×2 crafting grid present on the top right side of the tab.
Now, place four stone blocks in each of the grids. Instantly, four stone bricks will be ready for collection. You can grab it from there and add it to your inventory.
