Unlock the exclusive Grimace Minecraft skin from McDonald’s by redeeming Happy Meal codes before they expire on December 31, 2025.
With the release of ‘A Minecraft Movie,’ McDonald’s and Minecraft have teamed up to offer exclusive in-game content via Happy Meal orders. Each Minecraft Movie Meal (Adult Happy Meal) comes with one of six toys and a corresponding character card. The card has a 25-digit code on it that can be redeemed to permanently unlock the official Minecraft skin of that character.
The characters include Birdie Wings, Soda Potion, Zombie Hamburglar, Big Mac Crystal, and Grimace Egg. A purple mascot with a round, bell-like silhouette, Grimace has quickly become a fan favorite thanks to its unique dimensions, simple design, and ironic name.
Unlocking McDonald’s Minecraft Skins
A McDonald’s Happy Meal contains a 25-digit code on a card inside the box. If you ordered it using the McDonald’s app, enable email notifications to receive the code on your registered email ID. Once you have a code, go to the official Minecraft website’s code redeeming page here.
- Enter the code without any spaces.
- Log in to your Microsoft Account or create a new one.
- The Microsoft Account must be the one linked to your active Minecraft account.
- Confirm that the item has been added to your account.
- For Bedrock Edition: Dressing Room > Owned Skins
- For Java Edition: Minecraft Launcher > Skins > Library
Getting the Grimace McDonald’s Minecraft Skin
Grimace Egg is one of the six Minecraft McDonald’s themed skins that you can unlock. Each Happy Meal will have only one code. Therefore, you have a one in six chance to get Grimace or any one of the other skins you want. While looking for a particular skin, you may need to buy several meals due to duplicate codes.
However, if you get a duplicate card, its code will be of no use to you since you will already have unlocked it. In such a scenario, you may want to consider trading the unused code with someone else who happens to have a different duplicate code. Players can do this through known contacts, Minecraft servers, and other online forums.
While the other skins will be available later on, the Grimace and Hamburglar skins are exclusive to the promotional event. The Minecraft Movie Meal campaign was announced on March 20, 2025. The campaign concludes on May 6. The codes will expire by December 31, 2025, so be sure to redeem, trade, or gift them before then.
