Minecraft is a game that lets you show creativity at a very high level. For that, there are many blocks in the game that you can use in your builds. One such block is Sandstone, which is commonly found in deserts. Sandstone usually forms beneath the surface when compressed by sand and other blocks. Moreover, there are many variations of this block that you can use to decorate your house.

To make Sandstone, you only require sand. Here’s how much Sand you need for one Sandstone:

  • 4x Sandstone

And here’s how you can get some efficiently: 

  • Sand: Sand is an abundant resource, just like dirt or stone. The best way to get some is to use a diamond or netherite shovel in a desert or beach biome. It is even better to have efficiency on your shovel, as it can immensely speed up the digging process.

With enough sand in your inventory, let’s craft some Sandstone.

With all items in your inventory, here’s how you can craft Sandstone: 

  • Make a Crafting Table and place it down. 
  • Interact with the Crafting Table to open up the crafting interface.
  • Place one Sand in the bottom left corner. Another on top and to the right of it. 
  • The last goes in the middle of the 3×3 grid. In case you misplaced any blocks, refer to the image above. 
  • After placing all the blocks, drag the Sandstone from the output section and into your inventory.

You can follow the same recipe to get an infinite number of Sandstone as long as you have sand in your inventory.
