S-Tier Class in Dark and Darker
Bard
- Difficulty to master – Medium

The Bards in Dark and Darker play the role of both support and trickster. They are a high-skill utility class. Not only can they buff allies and debuff enemies, but they also have the ability to grant invisibility. This class is one of the tougher ones to master, as there is much to understand regarding their performance in battle and while looting. But once you get a good grip on the Bard, they can easily elevate the entire team’s performance. You will be able to control fights more effectively and take charge of situations with a clever play style.
Pairing the Bard with a Cleric will further enhance your game, as it compensates for the Bard’s lack of healing abilities. Another drawback is that they are loud, so stealth and sneaky gameplay are not an option. However, their ability to command crowds and escape tricky situations makes up for it.
Fighter

Fighters are one of the best classes to choose if you’re a beginner or just want a more straightforward experience. You have access to a wide variety of weapons, allowing you to find the one that best suits your style. With the right armor and perks, your Fighter could become nearly invincible, letting you deal massive damage in close combat without worrying too much about your health.
While they can’t use any form of magic, they make up for this shortcoming by being a jack-of-all-trades. They are mobile, have high health, and can deal tons of damage. They also have access to some of the best gear and weapons in the game. Fighters also possess self-healing abilities, which perfectly complement their tank approach.
Ranger

If and when you master a Ranger, you will feel an abnormal amount of control over any PVP encounter due to versatility in terms of attacking from varied locations and the stealth factor. They are best used in solo game modes, but not the best in group game modes.
While they may have lower health, they get to self-heal. They also have access to bear traps, which are very helpful to immobilize your enemies. The Rangers are very useful for distant support, but when it comes to melee, they would be lacking in terms of damage done. Their weapon of choice for melee is a spear.
A-Tier Class in Dark and Darker
Cleric

A Cleric, in a gist, is a guardian angel sent to lend a helping hand. You can wear heavy armor and inflict some heavy damage. While you may be a bit slow, if you reach your enemies, you would absolutely clobber them. They act as a great support member for the team, being able to cast spells from afar and perform destructive melee damage.
They are one of the best options for beginner players. While having a lot to do with spells, they are quite easy to understand and master. Due to their great amount of buffing and healing abilities, Clerics can easily be paired up with most classes. Clerics are definitely a must-have in any three-group setting.
Barbarian

Barbarians are brutes, incredibly tanky, and can smash through doors. They are quite mobile and have the ability to resist magic, having you worry less about close encounters and attacks from afar. The Barbarians have access to one of the highest health pools.
They may, however, have a very linear game style due to the nature of the character. You could maybe lure or bait enemies, but at the end of the day, the whole point of a Barbarian is to slash and dice through anyone in your path. The huge health bar perfectly complements this behavior. Being slower than most of the other classes, mindlessly chasing is not the best option, as the enemy could wear you down gradually from a distance. Use tactical approaches, and this class is a killer.
Druid

- Con – Limited Equipment
This is easily one of the best classes in the game when it comes to showing off skills of various magnitudes. With the abilities of various animals fused within your skill set, you can perform actions that the other classes would otherwise deem impossible.
With the Druids, placing traps is the utmost fun with the uniqueness available. Be it spawning trees or entangling vines, the possibilities are countless. This class complements well with groups due to its exceptional healing skills and magical support, but unfortunately lacks access to most equipment. But that is definitely made up for with the amount of damage they can deal from a distance. This class excels at almost everything and is definitely something you should consider playing with.
B-Tier Class in Dark and Darker
Rouge
- Difficulty to master – Hard
- Pro – High Movement Speed
- Con – Low Health
Rogues are one of the hardest to master, but one of the most fun to play with. This class has great attack speed and damage. This is one deadly combo, which, also when combined with your quick movement speed and stealth skills, is a force to reckon with. Sneak around the map and catch enemies off guard with swift, decisive strikes—they won’t even know what hit them.
When starting off with the character, it may get frustrating at times, considering how low their health is. It may take some time to get used to the map and the best spots you can craft strategies around. However, once you have a good grip on both the map and the class, you will be unstoppable. Equip your class with some of the best armors and weapons, and you will be a nightmare to encounter.
Wizard
- Difficulty to master – Hard
- Pro – Cast Powerful Spells
- Con – Low Physical Damage
Another hard class to master, but rewarding when used to its full potential. The Wizards possess the power to inflict a lot of damage with their spells, but very little with physical hits. It’s contradictory considering how you would like to use the Wizard in the first place. You can always categorize your attacks by using melee for the skeletons and spells for PVP action.
One of the negatives of this class is the need to recharge spells. While this may be time-consuming, it is highly rewarding considering the damage you would inflict right after. But to perform the act of recharging, you would need to source spots where the action is less, and you get to give yourself a few seconds.
C-Tier Class in Dark and Darker
Warlock

- Pro – Access to Multiple Physical Weapons
- Con – Consuming too much Health causes Death
The Warlock is the master of the dark arts and a hard character to master at that. While they may be hard to master, they are definitely one of the easier characters to use for beginners. I state this contrasting fact due to the varied skills this class possesses. They are mobile, quick, and easy to use, and dispense a series of attacks on the enemies.
While they can solo any major boss with the dark magic, navigating around in PVP could be a bit stressful if you haven’t fully mastered its playstyle. Warlocks are not the best when it comes to group play, as they don’t have much support to offer to teams. The only way they can be useful is by using their high attack damage.
