In this guide, we shall go over how to get the Bone Pickaxe in Runescape Dragonwilds, a tier-2 pickaxe in the game.
Crafting is a major part of the Runescape Dragonwilds experience, and to do so, you have to head out into the wild to hunt for resources. There are tons of resources for you to find, which you usually do by chopping trees, picking at ores, and much more. Picking ores is an activity locked behind different tiers, meaning getting more valuable ores requires you to have higher-tier equipment.
The Bone Pickaxe is a Tier-2 pickaxe in Runescape Dragonwilds that allows you to mine more valuable minerals such as Copper Ore and Tin Ore. Upgrading to the Bone Pickaxe is essential if you wish to craft items such as the Bronze Bar, Copper Nugget, Small Tin Bin, Small Copper Nugget, and more.
As necessary as the Bone Pickaxe is, you don’t simply find it out in the wild. As stated earlier, you don’t get the Bone Pickaxe out in the wild and instead need to craft it using resources. One of these resources is animal bone, hinted at directly in the name of the item itself. You find animal bones by killing animals such as deer or cows. Hunt as many of these animals as you can to sufficiently stock up on bones. Collecting your first animal bone also automatically unlocks the Bone Pickaxe in the Crafting Table menu. If you’re a pacifist, you can also use the Bark to Bones, which converts trees to bones.
Once you have the bones, you then need Ash Logs and Leather. You’ll find the Ash Logs by chopping down trees. You may also find them lying near the base of several trees. You get Leather by running Animal Hide through the Tannery. Once all ingredients are assembled, open the Crafting Table menu and use 8x Animal Bones, 6x Ash Logs, and 4x Leather to craft the Bone Pickaxe.
