Let’s be frank—no one plays Schedule 1 to live the life of a law-abiding citizen. We play this game to enjoy the TVGS-designed gradual journey of a Peddler becoming the Kingpin. Producing and distributing various narcotic substances while evading the police comes with the territory.

There are other ways you can earn money in the game. The “Cash for Trash” machines can be found all over the city. If you were wary and picked up the Baseball Bat at the Basketball Court, you can also grab some cash by vandalizing Cuke vending machines and ATMs—even the ones inside establishments like the Casino, Pawnshop, West Warehouse, etc.

However, the money coming from burning trash and wrecking machines is not much. In this article, we shall discuss a way of making “big money” that does not involve selling drugs.

Gold in Schedule 1 serves more than just as a decorative item. You can buy a Gold Bar for $10,000 at Bleuball’s Boutique. This store is beside Ray’s Real Estate Office in Downtown. Walk into the store and buy a Gold Bar just like you would at Lenny’s Hardware or a Gas Mart. Unlike the hardware stores, the products at Bleuball’s Boutique cannot be delivered to your base. Remember to walk into the store before curfew hours, i.e., 9 PM.

How To Make Money From Gold Bars

Once you have bought the Gold Bars, travel to the Pawn Shop. You’ll find Mick there, donning a cowboy hat. Offer to sell the Gold Bars. He will start with an initial price. Begin haggling by gradually increasing the asking price of the Gold Bars. You’ll notice Mick’s Temper Meter on the left. If that fills up, Mick will start attacking you, and the deal will be off. So, stay within limits—do not ask for obnoxiously high prices.

You’ll be able to sell the Gold Bars at a significantly high profit.

The sign on the Pawn Shop states that it operates from 6 AM to 6 PM. However, it’s possible you may not find Mick manning the store during these hours. This is a bug. If you encounter it, calmly save your game and continue from that saved file. The Motel is the nearest location with a Save Game Switch.
