In this guide, we shall discuss how to find and use the Weird Pictos in Clair Obscur Expedition 33, an important item in the game.

Clair Obscur Expedition 33 throws a ton of items at you, to the point where it gets overwhelming and difficult to track their functions. Some are easily obtainable, while others require you to perform specific tasks or talk to certain NPCs. The Weird Picto is an item you find early in the game by talking to a certain NPC.
Even if you somehow find the Weird Pictos, the item is unusable when you receive it. However, much like Chekov’s gun, this item comes into play later in the game, helping you upgrade your abilities and be more powerful.
If you’re looking to make the most out of your playthrough, having the Weird Pictos is essential. In this guide, we shall discuss how to find and use the Weird Pictos in Clair Obscur Expedition 33.

You find the Weird Pictos item early in the game, during the Festival section in the Prologue. While playing through this section, keep your eyes peeled on the left and look for a green stall. Once you find it, talk to the vendor tending to the stall—Tom. Tom will trade you the Weird Pictos in exchange for one Festival Token. Make sure to get the Weird Pictos before progressing through the area. If you miss this chance, you’ll be locked out of getting the item entirely.
The Weird Weird Pictos won’t seem helpful at first. The item’s description bluntly states that the item is unusable, and that seems to be the case till you reach the Gestral Village later in the main story. In the Gestral village, you’ll meet an NPC merchant named Jujubree behind a wooden table. Bring the Weird Pictos item to Jujubree, and you’ll have the chance to upgrade your Augmented Aim Pictos straight up to Level 5.
