Closing the First Demonic Portal
Chapter 13 starts with DOOM Slayer preparing to pilot his mecha dragon, continuing from where the previous chapter ended. Your primary objective is to fight off the creature by destroying its three tentacles and closing the two Hellgates. Follow the objective marker to spot the dragon landing spot. Interact with the spot to land the dragon and dismount. As soon as you dismount, enemies will appear along with their leader. Clear the enemies and defeat the Demonic Leader to obtain the Demonic Essence, which increases your maximum Reaver ammo. This also closes one of the Demonic Portals (Hellgate).
Destroy the Tentacle Weak Spots
Break through the gate using the shield to mount the Dragon again. Now, focus on fighting the tentacled creature. Using the objective marker, locate the first tentacle. Launch attacks while executing a perfect dodge to destroy the tentacle effectively. Repeat the same process for the other two tentacles. Once all three tentacles are located and destroyed, the creature retracts its tentacles back through the portal.
Closing the Second Demonic Portal
Finally, make your way to the second Demonic Portal spot. Defeat the enemy and land the dragon. After dismounting, prepare to face another group of enemies alongside their leader. Disable the leader’s shield by defeating other enemies. Once the shield is removed, fight and eliminate the Demonic Leader, which rewards a Demonic Essence and permanently increases the maximum armor bar.
Final Cutscene
Closing the second portal triggers a cutscene, where the creature retreats, pulling back its tentacles and closing the portal. Suddenly, the portal opens again, and the tentacles tear apart the station, dragging Thira and Kreed into the portal. While the DOOM Slayer rushes towards the portal to save them, he misses it by just a few seconds. This marks the end of the chapter, which contains 2 Demonic Essences.
