Although similar to the Rail Spike Shredder, the Impaler is much more precise and made for devastating headshots. However, the drawback is its slower rate of fire. It can fire just one spike at a time, so you’ll need to be much more precise with your shots. Every hit will stagger enemies. However, the real fun is seeing smaller demons being impaled on nearby surfaces. You can unlock the following upgrades for this weapon:

  • Salvage: Whenever you pick up Impaler ammo, your next shot with it gets empowered.

  • Stalwart: If you can hit demons with Shield Charge or Shield Throw, or you parry a Hell Surge hit, you’ll receive Impaler ammo.

  • Lobotomy: Headshots with the weapon partially refill your next melee charge.

  • Chronospike: Hold down the fire button to slow down time. Any shots fired at this time from the weapon causesmore damage to enemies.
