Best Location To Set Up a Starter Base in Dune Awakening

Before anything else, you need to remember not to build your base on the open sand. This is because you risk Sandworms possibly attacking you or destroying your base. Whether you are exploring or building a base, avoid areas with open sand.
The best place to set up a starter base is somewhere near a Trade Post. As you complete quests, you will eventually make your way to Griffin’s Reach Trading Post. This is where you can access vendors, Contract Boards, and trainers for classes. It’s more like a central hub for early-game activities. You can earn money by doing some work, and you can easily get back to your base without much of an issue.
On top of that, you also gain access to nearby iron deposits and other useful materials. Most resources are easily accessible in this location. The only area you might need to visit that is far away is the shipwreck known as The Wreck of the Alcyon. It’s an area that’s part of a quest, so it will require a bit of traveling to get there. On top of that, it’s a good place to farm materials like Plasteel, Microflora Fiber, and Mechanical Parts. But once you get the sandbike, it’s much easier to reach distant areas quickly.
Another thing to consider while establishing a base is whether you are playing solo or with friends. You might want to stay close to your friends’ base so the group can work together and divide the workload to gather more resources.
