In Dune Awakening, your starting class choice is permanent and you can’t alter it. However, just because you started in a particular class doesn’t mean you can’t learn the abilities of other classes. For instance, if you picked Mentat as your starter class, you can still learn the skills of the Swordmaster class. However, to do that, you will need to find the basic trainer for that particular class.
After building up the base skills of the Swordmaster class, you can also unlock advanced skills by learning from an advanced trainer. You can find the advanced Swordmaster trainer in Harko Village. How To Unlock the Swordmaster Class
You will need to head to the northern sections of the map to find a character named Arno. Head north from the Shield Wall to locate him in the Jabal Eifit section. Speak with him to start a quest. Completing this straightforward quest will unlock the Swordmaster skill tree. Keep in mind that if you picked Swordmaster as your starting class, you won’t need to unlock the base tier of the skill tree, as it will already be unlocked.
Keep completing Arno’s contracts to build your Swordmaster abilities further. However, there’s only so much that this NPC can teach you. After that, if you want to access the even more powerful Swordmaster abilities, you’ll need to track down the advanced trainer for the class.

How To Find the Swordmaster Advanced Trainer in Dune Awakening
The advanced trainer for the Swordmaster class is a man named Seron Varlin. You can find him tucked in the very back parts of Harko Village. If you’ve already mastered many of the base Swordmaster skills, you can now accept a quest from Varlin. Completing his first contract will give you access to the advanced tiers of the Swordmaster skill tree. However, keep in mind that his contracts will have specific requirements that you’ll need to meet before you can accept those quests.
