This crafting technique allows you to brew some powerful, special, and useful potions to gain an advantage in the game. The Alchemy process requires a variety of ingredients. One such item is Valerian, which is essential in crafting some health and energy potions.

Identifying Valerian in KCD2 would not be too difficult, thanks to its bright white color. However, finding it can be a tough challenge due to its rare appearance in the game. As mentioned above, you will need Valerian to fulfil a mission objective of the Source of Inspiration quest or to craft essential potions.
However, if you need Valerian to complete the mission, head north of the women’s house, and you will soon spot some of them. Apart from the mission, you can find Valerian in swampy areas where the ground is damp. One such example of this area is the pond in the Trosky region.
In addition to the wild, you can gather Valerian from various traders and Apothecaries in KCD2. But these locations offer dried Valerian, which is usable in crafting potions, but not all of them, especially the powerful potions. One exception to these traders is Aranka at the Nomad Camp, who sells fresh Valerian. Additionally, you can find it inside Roman’s house during the Bad Blood quest.
