How To Enable Crossplay in Rainbow Six Siege X
Rainbow Six Siege X is available on multiple platforms, including PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. The availability of crossplay allows players on different systems to play together. With crossplay enabled, console players can play with PC players. However, crossplay is enabled by default on PC, and it cannot be deactivated. On the other hand, you have the option to toggle crossplay on and off on consoles.
You can activate the crossplay functionality on consoles by navigating to options. There you will find the Crossplay Matchmaking setting. Toggle it on to allow matchmaking with PC players. Xbox players can also change the crossplay settings from their console.
How Cross-Progression Works in Rainbow Six Siege X
Since Rainbow Six Siege X has become a free-to-play model, you are not restricted to trying out the title on multiple platforms. Fortunately, the title supports cross-progression, allowing you to carry over your progression from one platform to another. During the platform shifting, you can retain most of your in-game content, such as boosters, packs, rewards, skins, operators, renown, R6 Credits, and any other unlocked or purchased content. However, you cannot carry over your rank, as the PC Matchmaking Rating (MMR) is calculated differently from the console MMR.
You can access your saved game data and progression from one platform to another by linking your platform account to your Ubisoft account. You can then log in to your Ubisoft account on any platform to sync your saved data and retain your progression.
