Contracts in Dune Awakening are a great way to take your mind off things, such as base management, resource gathering, and some of the menial tasks you need to perform. Also, finishing the various contracts will often earn you significant XP and Solaris. So, it’s always a good idea to keep completing contracts as you move through the game. Once you join one of the two factions — Harkonnen or Atreides — you will also start receiving contracts specific to those groups.

If you’re loyal to House Atreides, one of the contracts you’ll eventually receive is called Deep Extraction. In the following guide, we take a look at how you can begin and complete the Deep Extraction contract in Dune Awakening.

How To Start the Deep Extraction Contract in Dune Awakening

When you decide to join House Atreides in the game, you’ll first need to get through the faction’s initiation. It involves completing several contracts, all of which you will receive from Lieutenant Anton Tolliver, the Atreides representative at The Anvil. Since all of these contracts are connected, the next one begins as soon as you turn in the previous contract in the questline.

To begin the Deep Extraction contract, you will need to return to Tolliver after completing the previous contract, dubbed Test of Loyalty. As you speak with him, you will learn of a meeting point where you need to go. This will be your immediate goal for the contract.

The meeting point is on the lowest floor of the Hagga Rift location. So, use any of the vehicles you own to travel north and get there. Then, you can equip a suspensor belt to glide down to the lowest level without taking any fall damage. From here, get to the large vehicle and the rock with the white markings on them.

As soon as you reach this spot, some enemies will ambush you and start attacking. You need to take all of them down, so make sure you have plenty of healing items at hand. A Holtzman Shield can also be invaluable in this scenario, providing crucial additional protection. After defeating all of the ambushers, you will then report back to Tolliver at The Anvil location. This will effectively complete this contract and lead to the next one for House Atreides.

You will also unlock a few rewards, such as 1,500 Solaris, 350 XP, and 50 points to your overall House Atreides Standing.
