In Dune Awakening, you’ll need to carry a variety of items to and from your base. Like many games in the genre, your character can’t just haul as much weight as he wants. Even the weight of small items adds up over time, and soon you may reach the maximum carry weight capacity. At that point, you might start looking for ways to increase this threshold. However, Dune Awakening doesn’t currently have a way to increase your carrying capacity.

What Is the Max Carrying Capacity in Dune Awakening?

At present, each individual player can carry up to 175 Volume of items, and they can fit these into 35 slots in total. There are no skills that you can invest in to increase the slot number or the Volume you can carry. However, you can get around this limitation after you craft a vehicle in the game. Whether it’s the Buggy, Ornithopter, or the Sandbike, each vehicle in the game will have additional modules that you can attach to store items in them.

So, even though you can’t increase the carry weight on your person, you will still be able to keep a large portion of the items you possess with you at all times. However, if you want to access the vehicle inventory as soon as possible, you’ll need to research and craft the parts that unlock it. Each vehicle in the game has a different carrying capacity.

How Much Carrying Capacity Do Vehicles Have in Dune Awakening?

Vehicles will become crucial for moving your resources across the world in large quantities. However, even with the storage mod, each vehicle is only able to carry a certain amount of items. Here’s the exact amount they can carry:

Sandbike: The Sandbike will be able to haul 250 Volume of items.
Ornithopter: The flying vehicle can carry 500 Volume worth of items.
Buggy: The Buggy has the highest carrying capacity, and it can hold up to 1500 Volume.

However, there’s one thing to keep in mind when hauling items using vehicle inventory. You won’t be able to store the vehicle in the Backup Tool until its inventory is completely empty.
