In this guide, we shall go over the Coriolis Storm, its consequential weekly server wipe, and the Landsraad Cycle in Dune Awakening.

Dune Awakening has tons of content for you to explore. You’ll spend hours going through every nook and cranny, and just when you think you’ve seen everything the game has to offer, Dune Awakening brings you the Deep Desert.
The Deep Desert is an endgame PvP area in Dune Awakening that also exists in an entirely different game mode from the main world. While everything else in Arrakis is fixed, the Deep Desert has a weekly server wipe courtesy of Coriolis Storms. This means that the map in the Deep Desert changes weekly, introducing fresh new loot to scavenge and secrets to uncover every week.
Furthermore, the Deep Desert follows a unique set of rules dictated by its Landsraad Cycle. If all of these terms seem confusing to you, we’re here to explain them in detail. In this guide, we shall go over the Deep Desert’s Coriolis Storm, its consequential weekly server wipe, and the Landsraad Cycle in Dune Awakening.

Coriolis Storms in Dune Awakening
To put things simply, the Deep Desert is an endgame area in Dune Awakening. This area has tons of loot, but you could run through all of it in a few hours. To keep the loot fresh and prevent PvP players from familiarizing themselves with the map, the devs have added the Coriolis Storms. These storms wipe and reset the Deep Desert every week, and a new handcrafted map is introduced to keep things fresh. This weekly reset encourages players to check out the Deep Desert every week.

Next, the Deep Desert has its own separate rules or modifiers, different from those of the main game. These modifiers serve to enhance the gameplay experience. Players get to vote for what the modifier will be as part of the Landsraad. These modifiers change every week as well, resulting in a new Landsraad Cycle each week. So, one week you could be in a Deep Desert with a crafting efficiency debuff, and another week it could be a Deep Desert with new PvP rules. The Landsraad Cycle dictates your weekly gameplay experience.
