Death Stranding 2 does feature an autosave option, but players would occasionally want to save the game manually. After all, no one wants to lose the progress they had made just before a misstep and a BT encounter, or an unexpected mission loss. How To Quick Save in Death Stranding 2

You will need to use the Ring Terminal in Death Stranding 2 to Quick Save. The steps are:

• Hit Options button to access the Ring Terminal.
• Hit left arrow on the D-pad to bring up the Ring Menu.
• Press Triangle to trigger a Quick Save.

You can notice the Quick Save option and its associated button in the bottom-right corner of the Ring Menu screen. 

How To Manually Save in Death Stranding 2

The steps to manually save game are:

• In the Ring Menu, scroll down to System.
• Click on Save.
• Choose whether to trigger a New Save Data or overwrite a saved file.

Can You Have Multiple Save Files in Death Stranding 2?

Yes, you can have multiple save files in Death Stranding 2 if you are manually saving the game. You can do so by choosing a New Save Data. There are a total of 25 slots. 

How to Load a Saved Game in Death Stranding 2 in-game?

In the System section in the Ring Menu in-game, you have two options to load the game: Load Latest Save Data and Load. The latter allows you to choose which save file you want to load.
