Hideo Kojima has decided to bring back a Solid Snake iteration in Death Stranding 2 On the Beach. Here’s his lookalike in the game.
Solid Snake is one of the most iconic characters in the gaming industry, and some fans can’t help but see him in Death Stranding 2 On the Beach through Neil. Hideo Kojima is famous for bringing the Metal Gear franchise to life and has now moved onto the Death Stranding series but added a meta reference in the process.

Neil and Solid Snake Have Plenty of Similarities, and It Is Not a Coincidence
While Neil is a new character in the Death Stranding franchise, some fans view him as a Solid Snake counterpart. Hideo Kojima redefined the stealth gameplay genre through his contributions to the Metal Gear series and is pursuing something new.
Kojima intended to design Neil similarly to honor his previous work and to get a reaction from the player base. Kojima then used this character to reveal the limited-edition watch being made in collaboration with Hamilton.
Who Is Neil in Death Stranding 2 on the Beach?
Neil is being voiced and played by Luca Marinelli and was introduced in one of the trailers. While there is not a lot of information about the character, the trailer highlighted that he once did shady work for an organization by transporting stillmothers.
He is a capable individual and could be a potential antagonist to Norman Reedus’ Sam Porter Bridges. In other trailers, fans caught a glimpse of his connection to the beach. He possesses similar abilities to Mads Mikkelsen’s Cliff Unger to command dead soldiers. This could suggest that Neil has already crossed over to the beach but has unfinished business in the land of the living.
