Unmasking the Headless Riders in Death Stranding 2
The first step for this quest line is to pick up a sub-order from the Chronobiologist. This will prompt you to head for the Ghost Hunter. Once you make it to the location, the prepper in the outpost will request you to solve the riddle of the Headless Riders. To complete this sub-order, head for the marked location at night with a tri-bike.
If you go during the daytime, you can construct a safe house to pass the time or even hold a square on the DualSense controller to rest. Ride on the highway, and Dollman will comment about the Auto-Paver being hacked after being lit in red. A brief cutscene will play, and Sam will be transported on the highway, pursued by masked assailants.
The Headless Riders Are More Mechs Than They Are Ghosts
Bikes will jump on the road and start shooting at you. You can evade the incoming shots and fire some of your own. Fire at the enemy tri-bikes or ram them with your own to deal more damage. After a few waves, a different unit will join the fight and have more attacks and health. Once you deal with every enemy, you will unlock the Headless Riders Unmasked trophy.
