Death Stranding 2: How To Recharge Vehicle Battery

Vehicles like Tri-Cruiser are crucial in Death Stranding 2, allowing you to quickly reach your destinations. Although certain steep terrains may require you to proceed on foot, exploring the vast lands of Mexico and Australia entirely without a vehicle can be tedious. Vehicles not only speed up your journey but also allow you to carry additional cargo. 

Since vehicles in Death Stranding 2 are electric, their battery gradually drains as you use them. Additionally, actions such as speed boost or double jump will consume the battery at a much faster rate. You can monitor your vehicle’s battery meter on the bottom left corner of the screen, which appears when aboard a vehicle replacing your boot meter. Vehicle battery depletion is inevitable, especially during longer journeys.

How To Recharge Your Vehicle in Death Stranding 2

There are several ways to recharge your vehicle’s battery. You can build various structures, such as a Watchtower, a Timefall Shelter, and a Bridge, using a Portable Chiral Constructor (PCC). Generators are one among them, which can charge your vehicle’s battery as well as Sam’s battery. 

To build a generator, fabricate a PCC at any facility. While exploring the wilds, open the equipment wheel, select PCC, and scroll through the available structures. Select the Generator and confirm its placement to begin the construction process, which might take several seconds. Once built, you will find that the energy stream transfers from the generator to your vehicle, indicating the battery is recharging. You can also recharge enemy vehicles using a Generator. 

Alternatively, repairing a vehicle inside a facility also fully recharges its battery. Remember that riding a vehicle inside the power grid doesn’t drain its battery. 

Additionally, the Emergency Vehicle Charger APAS Enhancement allows Sam to transfer power from his battery to the vehicle in emergencies. Fabricating and using a Battery Unit Vehicle Attachment increases the battery capacity. You can also attach multiple Battery Units to extend the capacity further.
