The Battle Skeleton gear data can be unlocked by completing order 10 and connecting Western Environmental Observatory to the Chiral Network using the Q-pid. Once you unlock the equipment, you can fabricate it at any facility using 120x Ceramic, 40x Chemical, and 120x Resin.

Establishing a stronger connection with the Western Environmental Observatory unlocks the advanced versions of Battle Skeleton. While you can unlock the Level 2 Battle Skeleton by establishing a Level 3 Connection with the Western Environmental Observatory, reaching Level 4 Connection unlocks the Level 3 Battle Skeleton.

Additionally, you can obtain Battle Skeleton as a pre-order or Deluxe Edition bonus. How To Use Battle Skeleton in Death Stranding 2

Battle Skeleton enhances various stats for Sam. It consumes the battery and increases its movement speed and protection against incoming projectile damage. Additionally, equipping a Battle Skeleton also allows Sam to carry more cargo.

However, equipping the Exoskeleton comes with a trade-off—you cannot attach any cargo to Sam’s hips and legs. When equipping, you will receive a confirmation prompt that mentions any cargo attached to Sam’s hips will be placed on the ground automatically. A Level 3 Battle Skeleton weighs only 8.0 kg but allows Sam to carry an extra 100kg of cargo.
