In Death Stranding 2, you continue Sam’s journey where he connects facilities to the Chiral Network to increase its overall strength. As you reach out to more bases and facilities, you’ll meet a range of new and interesting NPCs. Each of these characters have their own Aid Requests and Sub Orders, which you can complete to further enhance Sam’s bond with those facilities and unlock useful rewards.

Over the course of the game, one of the NPCs you’ll run into is the Musician. And, during Episode 3, you can accept and complete his Sub Order where he asks you to locate his music collection. In the following guide, we’ll explore how you can find the Stolen Record Collection in Death Stranding 2.

During Episode 3, you can accept Sub Order 103 to begin the quest to find and return the record collection to the Musician. Keep in mind that this particular Sub Order will only become available once you’ve helped the Musician by destroying the Communications Disruptor and delivering a Mysterious Recording to him.

After accepting the Sub Order, you will get a quest marker that marks the general area where the lost cargo is. It’s right behind the Musician’s facility, somewhere on the hills. Before embarking on the mission, make sure you have a few Climb Anchors and Ladders with you. Go down the cliff behind the Musician’s shelter using a few Climb Anchors. Once you’re in the general location of the record collection, use your Odradek Scanner to search for the cargo.

Or, when you’re standing at the center of the quest marker region, look to your right. You should be able to spot some yellow containers up a steep cliff. You will have to place a ladder to scale this cliff and reach the cargo. However, picking up the Stolen Record Collection in Death Stranding 2 is only part of the job. The cargo is extremely fragile and can break easily if it takes any damage. So, you have to be extremely careful on your back to the Musician.

Rewards for Completing the Sub Order

If you manage to reach the Musician with the cargo in relatively undamaged condition, you’ll significantly improve your connection levels with him. In fact, it might take you directly to level 3 with his facility. In the process, you’ll unlock Miira No Sakebi song and the LW Shotgun Level 1.
