Chemicals, alongside the likes of Resin, Metals, and Special Alloys, are one of the main crafting ingredients in Death Stranding 2.

The world of Death Stranding 2 is perilous, and as Sam Bridges, you’re quite out of your depth. Sam is a mere Porter in the game, and you’re frequently ill-equipped for whatever the game throws at you. To keep up with the ever-persistent threat out there, the game gives you the option to craft and fabricate powerful gear. As you go about crafting powerful gear, you’ll find yourself in need of Chemicals.
Chemicals in Death Stranding 2 are very important, which makes it all the more frustrating that they are so difficult to farm. If you’re looking to craft gear but don’t have the necessary Chemicals for it, we’re here to help you farm the resource.

How To Farm Chemicals in Death Stranding 2
The most consistent way to farm Chemicals in Death Stranding 2 is to use the Twin Valley Mine. This mine is inside a Brigand camp that you’ll first need to clear out. Once that’s done, you’ll then have to set up the mine using 960 Special Alloys. With the mine active and operational, you can then farm Chemicals using it. The Twin Valley Mine converts 1200 Chiral Crystals into 720 Chemicals. This is the best way to farm Chemicals in Death Stranding 2.
Another method that you can use to farm Chemicals is to raid the several MULE or Brigand camps spread across the map. Clear out these camps, and then loot all the containers within to acquire Chemicals. Also, make sure to loot all the corpses of the enemies you kill as they have a chance of dropping the resource, too. Since these camps are always heavily guarded, this method is slightly riskier than the first.
