Wondering if you could respec Atsu’s skills in the Ghost of Yotei? Look no further and find out how the skill mechanics work.

Respec in video games is a way for you, as the player, to reset your character’s skills and reallocate certain points and resources. In Ghost of Yotei, you can help Atsu learn numerous skills to help her in her quest for vengeance. After being left for dead by the Yotei Six, Atsu became the Onryo, a restless spirit who is actually a skilled mercenary. So, can you pick and choose which points to invest in creating the perfect pathway for exacting revenge?
Unfortunately, Sucker Punch Productions did not include a respec feature in the latest Ghost title. The developers might have intended to encourage the player base to be proud of their builds, and that second chances are not meant for everything.

Ghost of Yotei Does Not Allow Players to Respec

It would make sense not to have a respec feature to maintain the consistency from the original game. There is a robust skill tree, but the only catch is that you can only access it from an Altar of Reflection. This new skill upgrade mechanic is much stricter than what players experienced in Ghost of Tsushima. In the first game, they could freely invest their technique points at any given time.
Nevertheless, using an Altar of Reflection should be one of the many things you should be excited about. This is a new point of interest scattered all over Ezo. You can interact with it by swiping down the touchpad on the DualSense controller to bow.
In Ghost of Yotei, there is no respec feature, and you must be more strategic about how you spend your hard-earned points.
Monitoring Atsu’s Growth
You can still open a menu from the Growth menu to take note of which skills you have already unlocked. This is a good way to plan for the future and examine which skills you may want to grab next when you encounter another Altar. The way you progress this story will determine which Altars you can find. This is a major step up from the first game and you can build Atsu the way you want without the need to respec.
