How to Find Undying Samurai in Ghost of Yotei
Find Ugetsu in Ishikari Plains

Before anything else, you will need to find Ugetsu, the storyteller in Ishikari Plains. He will tell you a story about a samurai who built Ishikari Castle to rival Mount Yotei and forged an armor meant to match its snowy peak.
The mountain responded by burning the castle and cursed the samurai with immortality as he forever donned his prized armor. It is said that the Undying Samurai seeks to challenge brave samurai in hopes of one day finding someone who can kill him and end his curse once and for all.
He will then leave wind chimes for each samurai he defeated in battle. Playing these said wind chimes will summon the Undying Samurai. Now, it’s your turn to challenge him.

Where To Find All Wind Chimes In Ghost of Yotei
There is no order you need to follow for collecting these wind chimes. You might encounter the first one before you even talk to the storyteller. There is no quest marker for each wind chime. This means you will have to keep an eye out for these items in the game.
A wind chime is found just north of where Ugetsu is located, east of the Masked Man’s Quarry. As the storyteller says, you can find it next to a fallen samurai. You can’t miss it, as it will be close to where you start the quest.

The next wind chime is in Stone Jaw Coast, at the top of the cliffs. You can use your grappling hook on the dead body. This will drag it down so you can retrieve the wind chime.

You can find the third win chime south of the Rumoi River. A Ronin somehow got his hands on the item, and he won’t give it to you. You will need to take him down and loot the wind chime by force.

The last wind chime is north of Nakagoya Spring. You can find it on top of a rock. Fortunately, there are no enemies or platforming needed for this one. All you need to do is walk up to the fallen samurai and loot the item.

Defeat the Undying Samurai

The Undying Samurai has two phases. The first one is where he starts with a katana. All of the attacks can be parried, so you should take advantage of that. Once his health drops below 25%, he will start wielding a shield. He also has an additional attack animation that can’t be parried. All you can do is dodge these attacks.
