Ghost of Yotei constantly puts Atsu’s brawn to the test, but one NPC in the Oni’s Breath Inn tests her wits with strange riddles. As Atsu, you may be tempted to avoid these riddles, but they’re important to the overall story progression of the game.

The riddles are tied to a fun little drinking minigame with an Oni Raider and are surprisingly one of the lighter moments in what is otherwise a tragic and dark tale. How To Enter Oni’s Breath Inn in Ghost of Yotei

If you’re struggling to enter the Oni’s Breath Inn in the first place, you need the Shattered Demon Mask. As you approach the Oni’s Breath Inn, a guard posted at the gate will declare, “No mask, no entry.” You must therefore acquire the Shattered Demon Mask. You can obtain this mask by completing the bamboo activity right next to the inn. Once you complete it, you’ll receive the mask, which you can then equip from your inventory.

All Oni’s Breath Inn Riddle Answers in Ghost of Yotei

You’ll find the riddler (Oni Raider) sitting inside the Oni’s Breath Inn in Ishikari Plain. Talk to the drunk NPC, and he’ll ask you to answer his riddles. If you win, he takes a shot. If you lose, you have to drink. The answers to his riddles are listed below:

“Feed me and I live. Quench my thirst, and I die. What am I?”
- Answer: Fire.
“I have eyes when I have company. I am blind when I am alone.”
- Answer: Mask.
“I am real within you. I am but a story around you.”
- Answer: Demon.

What Happens After You Answer All Riddles in Oni’s Breath Inn?

You’ll have to fight the Oni Raiders in the inn after you answer all the riddles. As you answer the last riddle, the Oni Raider asks, he’ll linger on the word demon. He’ll then mention a demon running around the area and killing all the Oni Raiders, almost testing you to see your reaction.

As you try to leave, he’ll stop you, posing one last riddle that incriminates you as the Onryo. He’ll then challenge you to a fight, and you’ll have to kill all the Oni Raiders. Once that’s done, you’ll unlock the Oni’s Breath Inn as a fast travel point.
