Ghost of Yotei’s The Winter Farms quest dives into the conflict between the northern farmers and the Nine Tales of Yotei. Both groups are vying for control over the farms, but the Nine Tails are not beyond resorting to bloodshed to get what they want.
The Winter Farms quest puts you on a quest for justice, bringing the Nine Tails down and saving the northern farmers. This is one of the longer quests in the game, and it gives you a pretty impressive charm as a reward. This guide will walk you through the quest so you can get the charm for yourself.
How To Begin The Winter Farms in Ghost of Yotei
You begin this quest by visiting the contested farms northwest of the Hakodake Mountains. As you arrive on the scene, you’ll find a couple of dead bodies lying on the floor. As you go about investigating the bodies, a few Nine Tails will interrupt the investigation, leading to a standoff.
Just as the fight is about to begin, Kunai soar through the sky and pierce the foes before you. A woman named Hana jumps to your aid, and you then have to fight by her side and kill all the Nine Tails. Hana will then reluctantly agree to partner up with you, teaching you how to use Kunai. This will then unlock the Kunai as a quickfire weapon and begin the Winter Farms quest.

How To Complete The Winter Farms in Ghost of Yotei

According to Hana, the Nine Tails have been taking over farms all across the northern region. She wants you to rid all four farms of the Nine Tails. These farms are all standard enemy outposts that you need to raid and clear out.
After you clear the first farm, Hana will rush to the scene, giving you a glimpse of her past and why she was forced to learn the Kunai. As you raid the second farm, Hana will once again arrive, this time fighting side by side with you. After clearing out the farm, she’ll tell you of her parents and a little boy she met when she was a child, who changed her life.
Upon attacking the third farm, Hana will appear once again, this time telling you the story of her husband, the same little boy she mentioned earlier. Clear out the final farm, and you’ll get to have a roast with all the farmers you saved, and you’ll get the Charm of Burning Blades as a reward.
