This walkthrough will be for the penultimate mission of Ghost of Yotei, which takes place in chapter 3, Call of the Hunt.
The second last mission in Ghost of Yotei, Call of the Hunt, leaves you to chase the Spider to locate his father, Lord Saito, and this walkthrough will cover how to finish this mission. Since the ending is fast approaching, it is advised to wrap up all the pending business.
However, you do not need to worry about missing anything, as the game will put you back into the same state as you were before starting the mission. With that said, here is the walkthrough for the Call of the Hunt mission in chapter 3 of Ghost of Yotei.
Call of the Hunt Location in Ghost of Yotei
The quest will unlock after you finish the hunt for The Saito Brothers. Although the Spider has still survived, and will become the key figure in locating his father. You can start the final mission by going to Mount Yotei and meeting Hanbei.
He will help you locate the Spider by pointing you towards the Saito family’s burial grounds, that is located in the Tokachi Range.
Call of the Hunt Walkthrough in Ghost of Yotei
The burial ground location will be marked on your map, and you can navigate to the same using the Gust Wind feature. However, for your convenience, the same location is marked on the map above. You will need to head to this location to hunt for the Spider.
Once at this location, you will find the Ohara Plains Burial Site hidden behind a rock formation. Now you need to hide and wait for the Spider to show up. Once he does, a cutscene will play out.
Pursue the Spider
After the cutscene, the Spider will make a run for it. Atsu will naturally have to give chase. This segment is fairly straightforward; however, there are some things you should note:
- He will occasionally shoot at you. You will need to hide behind cover whenever possible to avoid taking damage.
- Healing using Spirit is always an option.
- There will be some large gaps during the chase. Make sure to take a run-up before jumping to cross to the other side.
Once you reach the top, another cutscene will play out as Atsu tackles the Spider. This will begin the final part of the mission.
Spider Boss Battle
There are some key points you need to know regarding this fight:
- The Spider uses a spear and a Katana throughout the fight.
- Watch out for the disarming attack. It is indicated by a yellow glow beforehand.
- Use the Katana against the Katana, and Dual Katanas while he uses the spear. This will be the beneficial weapon alignment.
- This isn’t a particularly hard boss fight. Parry his triple combo, and retaliate afterwards to build up stagger quickly.
Once that is done, the Spider is defeated, and the mission is concluded. This will follow into the Final Hunt of the Onryo mission.
