Your main focus will be the Shinobi squads in Teshio Ridge. They are hard to miss; their white outfits and agile moves make them stand out. They use kusarigama weapons, toss smoke bombs, and dodge attacks with unpredictable ease. Each encounter has a strong chance to drop Shinobi Steel.

Teshio Ridge comprises of several abandoned homes, watchtowers, and camps packed with loot. Most of these places hide a few pieces of Shinobi Steel, especially inside containers or large chests.

Weapon Upgrades

Visit the Father’s Forge to upgrade your melee weapons. Enhanced-tier improvements for swords, spears, and kusarigamas need Shinobi Steel alongside base metals. Expect around twenty pieces per upgrade. Some of the higher tiers even reintroduce it for advanced reforging stages.

Armor Enhancements

Ginji the Armorer also depends on Shinobi Steel for mid-tier armor improvements. You can combine it with Metals and a few rarer ingredients to boost resistance significantly.

Bow Improvements

For ranged gear, Ran the Bowyer uses Shinobi Steel to push your bows into Enhanced status. This upgrade tier lets you craft special arrows, including poison variants.
