Rare Metals are another form of collectible resource in Ghost of Yotei. Similar to most items found around Ezo, their main purpose is to upgrade Atsu’s gear. However, getting a decent supply can be time-consuming and challenging. These resources are often located in areas rich with enemies, making them fitting rewards for clearing those zones.

Where To Find Rare Metals in Ghost of Yotei?
You can find a decent stock of Rare Metals in enemy encampments belonging to members of the Yotei Six. These are new hideouts guarded by various bandits and raiders, which makes collecting this resource more challenging than others. It is recommended to eliminate all roaming enemies first before searching for these precious metals to ensure a smoother collection process.
There are plenty of hideouts scattered across the regions of Ezo, and it is best to explore and clear them one at a time between main quests. Clearing these camps will help Atsu obtain better gear and possibly uncover more information about the surviving members of the Yotei Six. Other factions with large followings in the game also possess Rare Metals.
How To Use Rare Metals in Ghost of Yotei
As one of the rarer resources, it can be used to upgrade melee weapons, armor, and even Atsu’s rifle. Once you have collected enough, return home to Kengo’s forge and play the forging mini-game to upgrade your blades to the maximum level. You can also visit different armorers to improve Atsu’s armor for future encounters.
