In Hades 2, Aspects are alternate versions of your weapons that can completely change your playstyle. They give you new moves and mechanics to play with rather than just flat stat buffs. Moreover, you have to choose an Aspect for your Nocturnal Arm before every run, which can drastically change your approach.

Although each weapon has a default Aspect, you can unlock more as you progress further in the game. Each weapon can be fine-tuned according to your personal playstyle using the multiple Aspects the game has to offer. However, picking the right Aspect can also be the key to a successful run. Here are the most powerful Aspects for each Nocturnal Arm in Hades 2.

Best Aspects for Every Weapon in Hades 2

Witch’s Staff + Aspect of Momus

This Aspect deals high damage output using your Omega Special abilities. The Aspect of Momus makes your Omega moves repeat multiple times after a short delay. It focuses on a magic-based playstyle with repeated, high-damage attacks. This works best against enemies with larger hitboxes or limited mobility options.

Moonstone Axe + Aspect of Thanatos

The Aspect of Thanatos increases the Moonstone Axe’s Attack speed and adds Critical Chance through the Mortality gauge. This can build up to 20% and resets upon taking damage. It transforms the slow moveset of the Moonstone Axe into a faster, more dangerous weapon. You can also mix and match this Aspect with boons that protect you from damage to keep the Mortality gauge active. This makes the Moonstone Axe a viable weapon not only in the early game but in the late game as well.

Sister Blades + Aspect of Morrigan

The Aspect of Morrigan transforms the blades into the Crow Cutters with a new mechanic called Blood Triad. This deals burst damage when landing an Attack, Special, and Omega Move on the same enemy. This Aspect rewards a combo-based playstyle focused on a single target.

Umbral Flames + Aspect of Moros

This Aspect makes your attacks linger for up to 6 seconds and then explode when you hit with your Specials. The Aspect of Moros transforms the Umbral Flames in favor of a playstyle centered around AoE effects. It allows you to deal damage while moving around the battlefield. If you enjoy setting explosive traps for your enemies, the Aspect of Moros might be the best choice for you.

Argent Skull + Aspect of Medea

The Aspect of Medea replaces the Argent Skull’s normal attack with shells that explode after a short delay or upon using Special moves. This changes the playstyle into one more focused on close-range combat. It allows you to deal high damage with your shells by dashing into enemies with your Specials. This turns the Argent Skull into a high-risk, high-reward weapon based on aggression, which can be demanding for new players.

Black Coat + Aspect of Nyx

The Aspect of Nyx allows Melinoe to charge her Sprint and deal heavy damage when she collides with an enemy. This also buffs the Black Coat’s Attack and Special for 5 seconds, causing weaker attacks to split off from struck enemies. This Aspect turns the dash into an initiation tool and increases your AoE damage. The Aspect of Nyx is easy to use and works well for players new to the Black Coat weapon.
