How Long Does It Take To Get the Platinum Trophy for Ghost of Yotei?

For a normal playthrough, Ghost of Yotei takes about 25-30 hours, depending on the amount of side content you complete. However, if you’re doing a more thorough playthrough, going through most of the side content before heading for the credits, the game can easily last you more than 40 hours. That is roughly how long it takes to get the Platinum trophy for the game.
Most of the trophies in Ghost of Yotei are tied to the story. A few of the trophies are tied to the side quests associated with the weapons. However, you’re going to complete these quests organically as you explore Ezo. The only trophies that will test your patience are the collectibles. Getting all the Hot Springs, Shrines, etc., can be quite tedious.
Additionally, some quests unlock well after completing the main story. These are also tied to some of the trophies, which are needed for the Platinum.

Tips To Easily Get the Platinum Trophy for Ghost of Yotei
Here are some tips to help you get the Platinum trophy for Ghost of Yotei easily:
- Normally, you’re meant to use Atsu’s Shamisen to figure out the location of the collectibles. However, if you’re going for the Platinum, we highly recommend looking up a guide for all the locations.
- To make it easier to get the last few trophies, you can bump down the difficulty to Normal or Easy. However, once you unlock all the weapons, the game gets a lot easier anyway, even on Lethal.
- As you explore Ezo during the story, make sure to keep an eye on the Yellow Birds that lead you to points of interest. Getting these locations done organically during the story will shave off a ton of time from the endgame grind.
- Lastly, make sure to complete all side quests as they unlock. This not only makes getting the Platinum trophy easier, but also rewards you with new upgrades and cosmetics for Atsu.
