Ghost of Yotei: All Ainu Findings Locations

Ainu findings in Ghost of Yotei refer to special items that you can acquire in the game. Ezo holds 30 of these findings spread out across all of the game’s regions. While collecting them all doesn’t unlock any trophies, you’ll still want to get your hands on them. These items are key to upgrading the Robes for Sitturaynu, one of the many armor sets. In this guide, we’ll point out all of the Ainu item locations, so it becomes easier for you to track them down and collect them.

Locations of All Ainu Findings in Ghost of Yotei

We’ve divided the list of Ainu findings into the different zones. All six of the major zones have these items, albeit in varying numbers.

Yotei Grasslands Ainu Findings

Ainu Finding Name	Location
Ikupasuy	Head across the Nupur River from the Saito Recruitment Camp location to find a tree. Examine the land right underneath this tree to get this item.
Ku-e shinok Ring	Head inside the Saito Recruitment Camp and find this Ainu item next to the waterfall there.
Makiri	This item is right in the middle of Lake Kuttara.
Mukkuri	The shrubs right in front of the Reliquary of Courage hold this item. Slash the bamboos to access the item in the shrub.
Ninketeyep	Go to the Windy Meadow area, and head west from the Hilltop Watchtower location in this area. You will eventually find the Ainu item.
Raoma	To acquire this one, head to the cave that’s between the two Southern Coast waterfalls.
Repunkur Canteen	Complete the quest A Drink with a Stranger. You’ll get the Ainu finding during this tale.

Ishikari Plain Ainu Findings

Ainu Finding Name	Location
Cispo	Just south of the Matsumae Outpost is a cliff, which you’ll have to climb to get to this item.
Clothes for the Dead	Reach the Howling Cove and look for the item inside a burned down house.
Kiray	Head to the western part of the Ishikari Plain, and look for a cliff overlooking the ocean. The Ainu finding should be right on that cliff.
Traded Furs	Travel to Nakagoya Spring, and look for this Ainu finding next to the river at the foot of a cliff.

Tokachi Range Ainu Findings

Ainu Finding Name	Location
Karop	One of the Ainu findings in Ghost of Yotei, you’ll get Karop inside the Marshland Homestead location.
Kuwari	While exploring Yamane Bluffs, you’ll find an Ainu who’ll stop you. Speak with the NPC to acquire the Kuwari item.
Kuyoy	Start from the Howling Fields Wolf Den in Boar’s Eye Cave and head north. The item will be on a ledge here.
Marek	Complete The Soul of an Instrument tale and visit the Musician’s Camp to get this item.
Ninkari	Complete The Soul of an Instrument tale and visit the Musician’s Camp to get this item.
Tamasai	Head to Bamboo Rock, and look for this item sitting on top of a rock at the edge of the cliff here.
Tanpakuop	Reach the eastern part of Shizunai Woods. Look for a boulder sitting on top of a ledge. Walk up to that boulder to grab the item.
Tepkeri	Find your way to the top of the hill that’s just beside the Prospector’s Camp to find this Ainu item.

Teshio Ridge Ainu Findings

Ainu Finding Name	Location
Hos	From the Abandoned Village in the Sakuru Woods, head southwest and look for the item on top of a cliff here.
Matampus	Enter the Cape Inari Hideout and find this item inside one of the buildings there.
Menokomakir	Go through the Sarufutsu Lighthouse to enter the Hunting Camp Hideout. Inside it is a building that holds the item.
Sinta	Head down from the Pillar of the Fallen all the way to the foot of the mountains, and then proceed west. The item is inside an abandoned camp in this area.
Sitopera	South of Sarobetsu Lake is an abandoned camp. Search the camp to locate this item.

Nayoro Wilds Ainu Findings

Ainu Finding Name	Location
Newsar-kamuy	Head north from Nayoro Falls, and scale down the cliffs on the right hand side of the falls. The firefly here should lead you to the Ainu item.
Tesma	During The Legend of Opusnupuri tale, you’ll find the Ainu item while climbing the Niptay Mountain.

Oshima Coast Ainu Findings

Ainu Finding Name	Location
Citarpe Cape	Head east from the Weeping Sakura Graveyard to find a small Ainu camp. That’s where you’ll find this item.
Lacquerware	Enter the Saito Artillery Outpost, and look for the Ainu item next to a watchtower and a broken fence in the location.
Mat Loom	Mat Loom is one of the Ainu findings in Ghost of Yotei, which you can locate inside a hut in Miyama Village.
Niesike	Pick this item from the ground next to a camp on Hakodate Shore.

How To Use Ainu Findings in Ghost of Yotei

The Ainu items have only one purpose in the game. You can use them to upgrade the Robes for Sitturaynu. You’ll be able to grab the armor during The Heart of an Ainu tale. The armor set is great for locating Sumi-e painting locations, Altars of Reflection, and even the Ainu items. When you wear it, you’ll feel controller vibrations when Atsu nears any of the mentioned points of interest. Upgrading the armor will further enhance these perks.
