The Katana is the default and starter weapon for Atsu in Ghost of Yotei. Forged by her late father, Master Kengo, Atsu now uses it to cut down anyone loyal to the Yotei Six or anyone standing in her way. For the past 16 years, before her hunt, she made a name for herself as the Onryo and used her family’s blade in her quest for justice and vengeance.

Overview of the Katana in Ghost of Yotei
There is no acquisition process for this weapon, as Atsu starts with it by default. You will then use it to take on the Snake during the prologue. This is a reliable blade forged by Atsu’s father and is even more deadly when paired with her thirst for blood and revenge. It is effective against almost all enemy types, but there are a few instances where you may want to switch blades.
The Katana is also an equal match for other enemies wielding a katana. It can be used to block and counter incoming strikes. While the blade is nearly perfect, you can enhance your build by upgrading the blade in Atsu’s family forge and equipping other items.
Armor
The Spider Lily armor is a decent option since it is well-balanced across every major attribute. These are all the perks from the Spider Lily armor:
- Enemies have a minor chance to drop throwable weapons.
- Stagger damage inflicted by melee weapons increases by a minor amount.
- Staggering an enemy has a minor chance of dealing minor Stagger damage to nearby enemies.
The Armor of the Undying is another option that can help replenish lost health while in combat.
- Staggering enemies restores a minor amount of Health.
- The window to perform Perfect Parry and Perfect Dodge is increased by a minor amount.
- Focus Attacks have a minor chance to increase Stagger damage.
Charms
- Charm of Confident Strikes: This is a charm that will help you regain Spirit for staggering an enemy in combat.
- Takezo’s Charm of Bold Deflection: Your parries will slightly increase your stagger damage.
- Charm of Resolute Victory: Gain extra spirits from a successful standoff.
- Charm of Hachiman: An additional enemy will be vulnerable to a deadly strike during a standoff.

How To Get the Spider Lily Armor Set in Ghost of Yotei
To get this armor set, you must complete the Spider Lily Mythic Tale. Start this quest by heading to Tokachi Range, then find the keys to open the gate. On the other side, you will face the Spider Lily General, who will be wearing the armor. Once they are defeated, the armor is yours to claim.
How To Get the Armor of the Undying Set in Ghost of Yotei
This armor has a similar process to the Spider Lily armor and can be obtained from a quest called The Undying Samurai Tale. At the end of this tale, you will fight another boss and take their armor as a reward.
