The Traitorous Raider, Mad Goro, is one of the bounty quests in Ghost of Yotei that you can find in the Ishikari Plain area. Your goal in this bounty is to track down Mad Goro and defeat him. Knowing his location is easy. However, there will be a chase section where you need to keep up with him before challenging him to a fight. How To Start The Traitorous Raider, Mad Goro Bounty in Ghost of Yotei
You can find The Traitorous Raider, Mad Goro Bounty, in the Ishikari Market just beside the Bounty Broker Kojiro. There are no prerequisite quests, as it will be available from the start. You can pick this up anytime you want.
Keep in mind that accepting this quest will immediately put you in a combat sequence as you get ambushed by Oni Raiders. You need to defeat them to continue the bounty quest.
How To Complete The Traitorous Raider, Mad Goro Bounty in Ghost of Yotei
After taking down all the Oni Raiders, you need to make your way to the barman in the area. In there a new quest will trigger, which is also tied to the bounty you just accepted.
Speak to the Barman
Interact with the Sake House Barman and choose any of the available dialogues. This will start the Side Tale: A Mad Pursuit. After speaking with him, there will be another cutscene where Jubei will ask you to gather more information about Mad Goro.

Gather Information
Following your conversation with Jubei, your next task is to eavesdrop on people to gain information on where you can find your target. After listening secretly to three groups of men, you will know that he is somewhere in Iwami Village.
Use your guiding wind to find the right path to travel and reach the village. In there, you will have to talk to the villagers, when you will hear a gunshot in the background.

After tracing the location of the gunshots fired, you will encounter a camp. Ronins will start attacking you once you are near the area. Defeat them, and Jubei will explain how you need to follow the river to continue tracking Mad Goro down.
Trace the River
Keep moving forward through the river, and you will encounter another camp. Clear the Oni Raiders in the area and proceed to climb up the nearby hill and see another camp. Before you reach the next camp, Mad Goro will shoot at you before leaving with his horse.
Chase After Mad Goro
The next task is a chase sequence where you ride your horse and go after Mad Goro. The chase won’t be easy, as he will throw explosives at you. Additionally, he will sometimes use his musket to shoot you down. You will need to constantly dodge his attacks while also closing the gap.
Fight Mad Goro
Eventually, you and Jubei will corner Mad Goro, and he will start attacking you with his dual sickles, also known as a kusarigama in the game. He can also ignite his weapons to deal more damage. You need to be extra careful, as he moves and attacks very fast.
Once you defeat Mad Goro, a cutscene will start. You and Jubei interrogate the enemy before the quest is completed.
