We have brought you an easy guide to the quest Shadows of Minrathous in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Read and reach the solution.
Shadows of Minrathous is a main quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, which must be completed during Act 1. You will have plenty of side missions going on simultaneously. Try wrapping them up after this mission because you will soon receive a choice between saving Dock Town or Treviso.
For now, head to the Guesthouse on the side of the Courtyard after you have completed Chapter 4. Talk to Neve there, and she will ask you to head to the Dock Town (Minrathous) to check up on Venatori activity in the Shadow Dragons territory.
Reach the Safehouse in the Dock Town to kick off your mission for good because this is where you will first find what has been happening in the town of Minrathous.
Helping the Shadows of Minrathous
Neve is a must-have in your party for this quest. However, the second party member is completely your choice. Once you reach the Safehouse in the Dock Town, talk to Ashur or The Viper.
He will then reveal that the Anvallenim tunnels, which were occupied by the Shadow Dragons to help rescue the civilians of Minrathous, have now been occupied by the Darkspawn. Rook offers to help The Viper with the Blight situation.
Follow where the quest marker takes you. Creep through an enclosed area, and you will eventually stumble upon some Venatori. It’s odd to see them lurking so close to the territory of the Shadows of Minrathous. Take them out and head into the open to find a giant door that you can interact with.
Open it and head downstairs. There will be a hallway with two branching paths: one leads ahead into a room while the second one takes you to another hallway but is blocked by Blight.
First head to the room ahead of you and clear the Boil here. Now, the gray Blight blocking the Archway will turn red. Burst it open and head into the canal below. There will be many Darkspawns here. As a surprise, the Venatori are also hiding here, working alongside the Darkspawn.
Defeat all of them. Burst the three boils in succession on the floor, and a path will reveal itself behind the last one. Head up and interact with the ladder on the left, but don’t drop down. Instead, go right. At the end of the path, turn left to break a blocked entrance and grab what’s there for you on the floor. Head right again and report to The Viper.
The Second Phase of Shadows of Minrathous
After talking to the Shadow Dragons, you will learn of a warehouse where the Vinatori are hiding out. Head to the warehouse using the quest marker. Before you can reach the building, you will be greeted by some Vinatori fighters.
Defeat them all and turn right at the end of the path (where the quest marker is leading you on the map). Once you climb the stairs, you will see a door blocked by a red screen. Destroy the crystal in the middle to open the door.
Head up the ladder and be mindful of the enemies here as well. Once you defeat all of them, head to the end of this pathway, and destroy another crystal, but don’t head down because it’s of no use right now. Instead, look to your right, and there will be a ladder that you need to climb. Climb one more ladder to reach the rooftop of the building.
Fight the Venatori on top and head down using the ladder at the end. Open the door ahead of you. Get down from the wooden staircase. The green door to your front is locked from the other side. Instead, look at the chest beneath the wooden staircase. Loot it and destroy the wooden blockade opposite it.
Enter the warehouse below and fight the Venatori along with the Bound Hurlock Darkspawn there. Once they are defeated, you have to investigate the area.
Interact with the ground hatch in the warehouse. There will be a shelf on its right, interact with the note lying on the floor beneath it. Next, interact with the note on the ground near the shelf in the middle of the warehouse. Lastly, a note will be on a platform near the chest.
Report back to The Viper, and a cutscene will play out, wrapping up the quest. It will also grant you a trophy/achievement named Anvallenim apart from the 3750 XP received.
