Thedas in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a world teeming with dragons, monsters, and other dangers. As you roam these dangerous (yet gorgeous) lands, you have companions by your side to even the playing field. These companions fight alongside you in battle and bring their own set of skills that synergize with yours. Neve Gallus, an investigator from Minrathous, is one of the companions you can pick to fight alongside you.
Neve holds a variety of powerful companion skills in her arsenal, which make her one of the best companions in the game. In this guide, we shall go over the five best companion skills for Neve Gallus in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
1) Flash Freeze
The first skill we recommend using for Neve is Flash Freeze. This Greater Passive skill, much like its name suggests, freezes groups of enemies in a flash. Flash Freeze is a Blizzard spell and deals AOE damage, inflicting the Frozen status effect on initial impact. The skill is especially useful in the late game to encounter horde after horde of enemies and is perfect for crowd control.
2) Barrier Buster
As you play through the game, you will encounter enemies that are shielded by magical barriers. These enemies take no damage unless the barrier is broken through. This is where Barrier Buster comes in clutch. It is a Glacial Pace Passive skill that deals +50 percent damage to barriers.
3) Windfall
The Windfall ability slows down time for everyone but you. The Greater Passive skill comes in handy when overwhelmed by large groups of enemies. Use the skill to get out of a pinch and hack away at the enemies during the duration to deal free damage. As a bonus, the skill also grants a 50 percent Rage boost.
4) Deep Freeze
Deep Freeze is crowd control perfected. The Icebreaker Ability Upgrade inflicts the Frozen status effect on enemies each time you land a critical hit. Dance around the battlefield hacking away, and you will leave a lot of enemies Frozen and vulnerable.
5) Shattered Resolve
Shattered Resolve is one of the best skills for staggering enemies. This Icebreaker Ability Upgrade deals an additional whopping 100 percent stagger to enemies on detonation. Once their stagger meter is full, they are left vulnerable to takedowns and are easy to finish off. This makes Shattered Resolve by far the strongest skill in Neve’s arsenal.
